Ducati Energia - Alternators

Ducati Energia SpA is an Italian company based in Bologna that belongs to the Ducati Group and manufactures electrical and electronic components.

The company was founded in 1926 by the brothers Adriano, Marcello and Bruno Ducati to manufacture vacuum tubes, capacitors and other components for radio technology. The original company was called Società Scientifica Radiobrevetti Ducati (SSR Ducati).

In 1935, Ducati was so successful that a new factory could be built in Borgo Panigale.

At the end of the 1940s, Ducati began producing engines for bicycles and later also for motorcycles, which later led to the split into two companies: Ducati Meccanica and Ducati Elettrotecnica.

Ducati Meccanica specialized in the manufacture of motorcycles and Ducati Elettrotecnica in the manufacture of radios and electrical devices and components.

Ducati Elettrotecnica was renamed Ducati Energia in the 1980s. Ducati Elettrotecnica develops and produces a wide range of electronic components and subsystems for use in the automotive industry, in construction, in safety technology and in the field of energy efficiency in energy transmission and distribution.

The company is represented in numerous countries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
