The clutch basket is part of the primary drive and is connected to the crankshaft stub. The clutch core is located in the clutch basket and is connected to the transmission shaft.
Clutch cores and baskets serve to regulate the clutch actuation and thus the power transmission between the engine and the gearbox.
They are usually made of high-quality steel and, due to their robustness and durability, are able to withstand the high loads during motorbike operation.
Together they form a unit that is responsible for transmitting torque from the engine to the gearbox. It is important to check the clutch cores and baskets regularly and replace them in good time if they are worn or damaged to ensure safe and reliable riding.
