The DEFA Smartcharge has been developed for the best possible ease of use and safe charging of the battery. The state of charge of the battery is reliably detected and charging takes place depending on the battery capacity and the ambient temperature. Only one switch is required to operate the SmartCharge - on/off.

DEFA SmartCharge recognizes the capacity and adapts the charging current to the state of charge and the temperature conditions. It is not possible to overcharge the battery.

• Switch on only
  Connect the terminals to the battery poles and the charger to the 230V mains. Press the on/off switch. SmartCharge does the rest. The display shows the current charging status. If 14.7V is required as the final charging voltage, simply press the 14.7V button.

  If the on/off switch is pressed for 5 seconds, the SmartCharger becomes a power source. Practical when changing batteries, the radio code and other settings are retained.
