Important installation instructions:
To be able to install this new timing chain tensioner, you must first remove the old retaining pin in the engine housing. To do this, we recommend grinding and shaping the old retaining pin either with a good hand dart or carefully with an angle grinder until an open-end wrench can be used.
Now the old pin can be carefully turned and loosened in the motor housing. Be careful, the pin is very tight and the use of heat or cold can speed up the removal process.
After removal, clean the pin hole and the new retaining pin can be reinserted immediately.
