Helite GP-Air 2.0 Airbagvest black/white

The GP-Air vest has been developed especially for the race track. Special emphasis was placed on aerodynamics with a body-hugging fit and space for the back hump. To make the vest even more robust, highly abrasion-resistant materials were used. The soft soft collar ensures maximum wearing comfort and that the helmet, is optimally supported in a fall.

On the back are Velcro areas which are provided with removable leather sliders. These leather sections can be replaced individually in the event of a fall. In addition, individual sections can be provided with sponsor logos or patches.

The vest is released by means of a rip cord that is firmly connected to the vehicle and is plugged into the vest during mounting and dismounting. Accidental deployment by forgetting to release the ripcord when dismounting from the vehicle is very unlikely, as a force of 300Nm (30Kg) is required to deploy the airbag. When deployed, the system has the optimum pressure after 75 milliseconds to provide full protection. The 18 liters of protection volume provide protection for the neck, spine, chest, pelvis, tailbone, head, collarbone and internal organ. By simply replacing the CO2 cartridge, the vest is immediately ready for use again.

The special feature of the Helite GP-Air is the high-quality Sas-Tec back and chest protector, which is attached like a turtle shell over the airbag. Point loads in the back area are thus effectively distributed over the entire airbag and absorbed. The protection is therefore many times higher than with a standard airbag. The Turtle airbags demonstrate their technological advantage particularly in impacts against pointed and sharp-edged objects, such as a guard rail, a branch or a motorcycle part.

Material components: 43% polyester, 38% polyamide, 15% elastane, 4% polyurethane, in the chest and back area 1.2mm thick cowhide as upper material
