The motoscope tiny is a very small, analogue speedometer in 49mm format. It measures the speed digitally and displays it precisely via a stepper motor and pointer. The installation diameter of 49 mm and the installation depth of only 24 mm open up a wide range of possibilities for installation. Sophisticated technology makes the classic look possible without compromise. The dial does without any display cut-out or LCD and has a convincing classic-style appearance. The perfect solution for purists and minimalists.
Housing
The high-quality aluminium housing is machined from solid aluminium and its surface is black anodised. The screw ring is also available in black anodised or mirror polished finish. The housing is 100% waterproof and insensitive to vibrations.
Display
The analogue dial in black and white contrast is indirectly illuminated by white LEDs. Hidden behind the black part of the dial is an innovative LED display that only shines through the dial when in operation and is not visible when switched off. To achieve optimum readability in darkness, sunlight and twilight, the luminosity of the LEDs is automatically adjusted. If the 200 km/h on the analogue scale is exceeded, the speed is automatically shown on the LED display. The maximum speed is also stored. The 4 indicator lights (blue, red, 2 x green) are also integrated into the dial. These also only become visible during operation.
Operation
The menu button supplied or, for example, the light horn button on the handlebars is used to switch between the indications on the LED display. The standard indication on the display is the time. If required, the values for total kilometres, trip kilometres, on-board voltage, etc. can be displayed by briefly pressing the button. All functions, such as resetting the trip kilometres or similar, are easy to operate via the button. Pre-settings or stored values remain saved even without power supply.
Attachment
The motoscope tiny is easy to mount using the two M3 threaded sockets on the back. We offer various brackets for mounting. See under mounting. Connection and sensors: The detailed mounting and operating instructions (see under downloads) make the connection of the instrument possible even for users who have so far kept away from vehicle electrics.
The supplied speedometer sensor made of stainless steel is very small (M5/23 mm) and easy to hide. With the 1.5 m long connection cable, it can be easily attached to the front or rear wheel. This makes it easy to convert vehicles with original mechanical speedo drive. The motoscope tiny is compatible with very many original speedo sensors (reed contact and proximity sensors) from vehicle manufacturers. In this case, only connections are made and the mechanical installation of a sensor is completely unnecessary. An intelligent `teach function` allows the speedometer to be calibrated easily - even on vehicles with sensors on the gearbox such as Harley-Davidson (TM).
