The touring windshield is usually longer, and sometimes wider, than the original windshield to better protect the rider from wind and weather. Depending on the windscreen angle, the rear end of the windscreen on some models is also tilted upwards as a wind deflector across the entire width. This makes riding more relaxed even on longer tours.
