A cooling system for motorbikes ensures that the engine does not overheat and always operates within an optimum temperature range. There are two main types of cooling systems: Air cooling and liquid cooling.
With air cooling, the engine is cooled by the airstream, which is particularly common on smaller and lighter motorbikes. Liquid cooling uses a mixture of water and antifreeze that is pumped through a cooling circuit.
A radiator and fan help to dissipate the heat and cool the liquid. Modern motorbikes often use liquid cooling as it is more efficient and ensures constant operating temperatures.
